Isidora Krstić

Isidora Krstic

Biography

Isidora Krstić (*1987 in Belgrade) is a mixed media artist. She is based in Vienna since 2012. She received her MFA in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade (2011) and received a Master (MA) in Art and Science from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (2016). The topics of interest in her artistic practice include memory, the embodiment and expression of trauma, socio-political identity, exoticism and the body as a field of inquiry. Her work transcends strict disciplinary boundaries, often breaking down traditional artistic procedures and methods. Her work often takes the form of an installation, working with the space and architecture of the exhibition space. She works in painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, print, animation and video. She also works on curatorial and publication projects and translates artistic texts. She is a founding member of artist-run U10 Art Space (Belgrade) and she currently works on programs and the archive at the Kurt Kocherscheidt Estate in Vienna.
